Environment Control is a local leader in the building maintenance industry. While our primary product is contract janitorial services, we provide a number of other value added services that benefit our customers. We market our services to corporate, medical, educational, retail and light industrial facilities. Our growing reputation for integrity, professionalism, and superior service continues to spread rapidly as our customers experience, first hand, the benefits of our professional approach to the janitorial industry.

A History of Quality Services

Environment Control Building Maintenance Company was founded in 1963 by Daryl Kraft. As a college student, Mr. Kraft purchased and operated a small commercial janitorial company just to "make ends meet." By the time graduation approached, his commitment to quality service had earned him a growing customer base. It was time to answer the question, "Pursue a new career or continue to build the business?"

In 1970, Mr. Kraft began to offer franchise opportunities and further refined his cleaning system and procedures. The program continues to incorporate the ongoing experience of over 50 independent EC companies in 18 states.

In 1997, after 34 years of being based in Anaheim, California, Mr. Kraft relocated Environment Control's Home Office to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
